Infant Development and Play

  • About the Project

Many people don’t realize that infants can play. Rachel Coley from CanDo Kiddo will teach you why play is important for infant development in the first 4-6 months of life, what play looks like for infants and tips and tricks for how to play with your baby.

Rachel Coley is a pediatric Occupational Therapist. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health & Exercise Science from Furman University and a Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from Boston University. She has participated in research and humanitarian efforts in Romanian orphanages, where the effects of early movement and play deprivation are extreme.

Just like you, she is trying to be the best parent she can be. And she knows it’s much easier to be confident in your parenting and to have fun with your baby when you understand infant development.
